Don Horton "Texas Bred and Keys Conch"

Don Horton, who was President of the Upper Keys Rotary Club, moved to the Keys in the mid 70's after finding that he loved the island style of living better than fighting oil fires in the Texas City, Texas refineries.

A Paul Harris Fellow, Mr. Horton is a graduate of the Rotary Leadership Institute and is currently studying to be a district and regional discussion leader for Rotary International and is the District 6990 Assistant District Governor.

With his wife Sherri, Mr. Horton owns a property management company called No Stress Property Management where they offer property management for privately owned homes as well as project and construction management and permit expediting. Don is a land use, building and code consultant, and an expert witness for many projects in the Keys.

Mr. Horton talked to the club about the objectives we seek to fulfill for the remainder of the rotary year.

Congratulations to our two newest members, Miguel Lopez and Lawrence Percival, who were inducted into the club today!
